Schloss Hohenlimburg overlooks the town and the Lenne valley. Whether or not you can see very much from up there depends on whether the surrounding trees have been cut, so there’s always a different view every time you come.
In the Schloss there is a famous museum, it’s principal artifact is the ‘Black Hand’. This mummified relic, so the story goes, was severed from the arm of a naughty child as punishments for striking his mother. Needless to say, many parents take great delight in bringing their own offspring to view this ‘example’ of the likely result of stepping out of line.
